Below is a summary of what The Freeman Foundation is and how it came to be (quote below taken from Shidler website).
The Freeman Foundation was established in 1994 through a bequest and in memory of the businessman and benefactor Mansfield Freeman, a co-founder of AIG. The Foundation is dedicated to strengthening the bonds of friendship between the U.S. and the countries of the Far East. The Shidler College of Business is grateful to have the Freeman Foundation as a partner in offering travel scholarships to deserving undergraduate students interested in studying abroad to Asia."
Please please please meet with your counselor and visit the Shidler website for more information about this scholarship. The information below is up to date as of October 2015. Things could change in the future and I am not an expert so only use this to get an idea of the application process and requirements that I had to go through, but double check with your advisor.

- (Side Note) I joined IBO Fall 2015, which is the semester before I will be studying abroad and I find these GAW presentations to be so beneficial to students. I really learned a lot about other countries and I am learning what to expect when I go abroad. Even if you aren't planning to go to the specific country that is being presented at the GAW, or if you're not even planning to study abroad, it is a great learning experience and I highly recommend attending the GAWs and joining IBO before you go abroad to learn about other people's experiences in foreign countries!
